Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Education Assistant to support our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the arts and education, skilled in social media and digital content creation, and experienced in handling diverse administrative tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our educational programs, managing our social media presence, and ensuring the smooth operation of our exhibitions and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement with our community.
● Assist in the production of marketing materials and manage online art submission platforms.
● Support a range of arts programming initiatives for various age groups.
● Help coordinate and facilitate student and adult tours.
● Assist with the installation and deinstallation of exhibits.
● Assist with contracts related to artist exhibitions, resident artists, and other collaborative projects.
● Support the Theatre for Young Audiences by liaising with schools, managing reservations for virtual and live performances, and coordinating logistics with Perot Theatre staff.
● Reconcile payments and manage financial data collection and reporting with the assistance of our bookkeeper.
Education and/or Experience:
● Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
● Proficiency in Mac platform, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and common social media platforms.
● Experience in educational systems or a high-paced office environment is a plus.
Other Skills and Qualifications:
● Outstanding interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively.
● Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.
● Must be a self-starter with the initiative to independently start and complete projects.
● Light to moderate lifting may be required as part of the role.
